Burlington Tennis Club

The Burlington Tennis Club is a volunteer club run by members for members. It is located on the corner of New Street and Drury Lane, next to Central Park, with six fully lit hard courts. Throughout the tennis season we offer lessons, provided through our club Pro.

The YMCA is just across Drury Lane from the Tennis Club. The proximity of our two facilities may appeal to parents with young children who need to be supervised while Mom or Dad is on the courts. The Y offers a free week for a family to try out its facilities. For more information on the Y go to www.ymca.hbb.ca

Weekdays 9:00am to 10:00pm
Weekends 9:00am to 9:00pm

President's Welcome Letter 2013

To returning members and to those of you considering joining our tennis Club I want to give you ten great reasons to be a part of our 2013 season:

Round Robins Our popular round robins offer great tennis and a chance to socialize and meet/play with other Club members Tuesday and Friday evenings and Thursday mornings.
Club Pro This will be Farid Ikharbine’s second year with us. Farid brings energy, experience and makes our Club a happy place to play tennis. The only tension you will feel is in trying to improve your game. Talk to Farid about a lesson, a program for your youngster or about game strategies.
Programs for Youngsters The Club offers after school tennis and summer camps. Discuss with Farid about what will work for your youngster.
Ladders Chris Gallenger will post these monthly.
Lakeshore League Tryouts week of April 28th. After April 28th, talk to David Grace or myself about joining one of our three teams.
ICTA League A youngsters’ league begins Saturday, May 4th, with tryouts April 27th. Talk to Denise Marck to get your youngster involved.
CLub Tennis Challenge Again this year Colleen O’Gorman will offer midsummer tournaments for men and women.
Club Championships Farid and I will put together a Club Tournament to test all skill levels and categories of tennis play. Commit to play by signing up by August 1st to ensure you are involved.
Social Events Look for an opening day BBQ on May 4th. Talk to Lori Wallace about helping her stage other events from BBQ’s to card nights to special event Round Robins, like Bring a Friend Night, or even a Bridge or Euchre club night. We have a wonderful large upstairs area in our clubhouse which could be put to good use.
