2023 Adult BTC In-House Programs

Burlington Tennis Club has a wide variety of free programs included with our memberships. We follow an approach of Try, Learn, Play, and Compete with all our programs and have something to meet all member’s needs. New Member Connections – Sundays, 6-8 PM (Starting May 7th)

The new member drop-in program is an opportunity to welcome new members to BTC.  The new member drop-in program will focus on serving and maintaining consistent rallies.  You will do this in a relaxed and fun environment and will get to meet other new BTC members and BTC hitting partners. This is a great opportunity to play tennis in a friendly supportive environment.

Mini Tennis Adult Program - Sundays, 7- 9 PM (Starting May 7th)

The mini-tennis program is free for members who are new to doubles tennis.  The focus is on ½ court tennis gradually moving towards ¾ court tennis and finally full court tennis. Mini tennis participants will hit tennis balls in rallies with other participants and BTC hitting partners.  The goal of this program is to prepare members fully participate on Tuesday and Friday night Social Round Robins.   Ideal for members who want to learn to play a full game of tennis.

Women’s Doubles Program - Mondays 9 AM to 11 AM (Starting May 8th)

For women playing at a minimum NTRP level 3.0 and higher, come and play doubles in a fun, competitive Round Robin format. Ladies will play three (3) – 30-minute rounds, switching partners and courts each round. This is not suitable for beginner level players. Players register for one of the 12 spots available weekly and must commit to the entire three rounds, totalling 90 minutes. Players register themselves 7 days in advance for this weekly program. A volunteer Program Coordinator sets up the lines before the start of play.

Mixed Doubles Adult Program - Tuesdays 9 - 11 am (Starting May 2nd)

NEW For 2023! This mixed doubles program provides a fun, social and competitive doubles games in the Round Robin format. Advanced registration will be required.

Round Robins (Co-ed) - Tuesday & Friday Nights (Spring to Fall – Weather permitting)

One of our most popular programs is the Round Robins which are run on Tuesday and Friday nights. Come out for a fun and social night! This is a great opportunity to meet new people and hone your tennis game in a friendly format. How does it work?

  • Doubles format
  • Partners are matched by the Program Facilitator on site
  • Winners move up a court and losers move down a court
  • 24 players per timeslot (all six courts are used)
  • Advanced registration will be required
  • NEW – Members asked and we listened! We will rotate the timeslots for the level so each group has the opportunity to have the earlier time

Find A Partner Program

Looking for a tennis or Pickleball partner? BTC will assist any Club Member to find a partner at a similar playing level (ideally from NTRP 2.0 to NTRP 5.5). This automated program is a feature of BTC’s online booking and membership program to encourage members to play together. Further details are available in the member’s only section under “Find a Partner”.

Singles Challenge Ladder

The Challenge Ladder is a mixed, singles ladder program that allows friendly, singles competition between BTC members. At the start of the season, players register online to play and include their NTRP rating. Players organize their own games with those at their level or they can “challenge” others up to 7 rankings above their level. If they win, they move up.

Adult Group Lessons

1.0-1.5 (Beginner - Step 1)
Learn basic tennis footwork, technical fundamentals, and ball control in order to rally, volley, and serve to get you playing the game quickly.

• Monday: 7pm-8pm • Wednesday: 7pm-8pm • Saturday: 8am-9am

Learn the technique required to implement singles and doubles tactics in point play.

Improve the consistency of your groundstrokes when forced to move, your ability to attack and to win at the net, and the quality of your first and second serve.
