2024 Adult Leagues

BTC House League: Sundays, 8 am to 12 pm – May 5th to September 30

The popular House League is a great opportunity for BTC adult members to provide friendly match play in a doubles team format.

There are 4 designated House league teams captained by BTC members who select players for each match. Teams play weekly. 

All matches are played at Burlington Tennis Club in two time slots: 8 – 10 am or 10 am – 12 noon. 

Tryout dates for House League are held in the spring. 

Burlington-Hamilton District League: Wednesdays, 9 am to 11 am (home matches only), during May and June

BDHL is a long-standing area league for adult women players who enjoy friendly, competitive doubles play. The BTC team plays both home and away matches against teams from these nearby clubs: Dundas, Tyandaga, Aldershot, Roseland and Cedar Springs. Tryout dates for BDHL will be held in April.

  • Team players must be available for both Home and Away matches on Wednesday mornings during May and June.
  • Home games take place on three BTC courts from 9 am to 11 am. Away match start times may vary as per each host club’s rules.
  • BTC’s team holds weekly practices.
Lakeshore League: Mondays or Wednesdays, 7pm to 10 pm (home matches only) - league starts MAY 29th

Lakeshore League is a friendly, social yet competitive Adult mixed league comprised of 5 Divisions. Teams play clubs throughout the GTA from: Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville and Mississauga. NEW IN 2024: BTC will field 4 teams from the 5 LL divisions. Tryouts will be held in the spring.

  • Matches: comprised of 2 Men’s Doubles, 2 Ladies doubles and 4 Mixed doubles matches. Each team member organizes matches weekly.
  • Team members must be available to play for both home and away matches.
Intercounty Tennis Association (ICTA) 55+ “A” League: Thursdays,10am to 12noon (home matches only)- season starts May 16

NEW in 2024!

The ICTA 55+ “A“ Division West league is for competitive, 55+ players (both men and women). In the west division, BTC’s team plays teams from the following GTA tennis clubs: Bronte, Credit Valley, Milton, Vaughn/Nobleton, Wallace Park TC and Whiteoaks.

Tryout dates will be held in the spring. BTC’s ICTA 55 + Captain/co-captain organizes the team roster for each match and set up team practice times and dates.

Halton Men’s Tennis Association (HMTA): Saturdays, 4pm to 6pm (home matches only)- starts May 25 to August 24

NEW in 2024!

The HMTA set up a new, 3 Division, men’s doubles league playing over a 13-week season. Division A compares to Lakeshore Division 1, Division B to Lakeshore Division 3 and Division C is equivalent to Lakeshore Division 5. BTC’s  Division A team will compete in home and away matches with clubs throughout Halton, such as Bronte, Wallace Park and others. 

Tryout dates will be held in the spring for BTC’s Division A Men’s Doubles team. The captain/co-captain organizes each match team roster and sets up team practices.

2024 Junior Leagues (as at January 1, 2024)

ICTA Super Stars (Under 12): Saturdays, 12pm to 2pm (home matches only)- April through June

ICTA Super Stars (U12) league is the natural transition from green dot ball into the world of competitive play which is both fun and social. In 2023, BTC’s Super Stars, U12 team competed in the ICTA playoffs at Sobey’s Stadium. They received Bronze medals at the “Tennis Rocks” 2023 tournament held at Burlington Tennis Club. The junior team competes in the West Region against teams from Hamilton, Burlington, Milton, Brampton and Mississauga in home and away matches.

  • ICTA Super Stars team: comprised of 4, under 12 years of age children – girls and boys together – for each match of 4 singles and 2 doubles matches.
  • Parents participate by organizing practices/training and driving/car-pooling teams to away matches
  • The Super Stars captain organizes the team roster for each match and sets up and organizes team practices.
  • ACE trained juniors are welcome to join in. They are a key component of the Super Stars Under 12 team.

Tryout dates will be held at BTC in the spring, organized by the team captain. Watch for the coming notice!

ICTA All Stars (Under 14/Under 18) Saturdays 2pm to 4pm (home matches only) - April through June

The ICTA All Stars team is comprised of 4 junior members, either boys or girls, 2 of which must be under 14 years of age as at January 1, 2024 and 2 of which must be under 18 years of age as at January 1, 2024. The BTC All Stars (U14/U18) competes in the West Region against teams from Hamilton, Burlington, Milton, Brampton and Mississauga in home and away matches.

* The ICTA All Stars Junior team:  2, U14 players, either boys or girls, and 2, U18 juniors, either boys or girls.

* Matches: 2, U14 Singles players; 1, U14 doubles team; 2, U18 singles juniors and 1,U18 doubles team

* Parents are instrumental by organizing training/practices and driving or car pooling BTC All Stars U 14/U18 team to away matches.

* The All Stars captain will organize the team roster for each match and will also organize team practice times and dates.

Watch for the Tryout dates notice this spring for BTC’s ICTA All Stars (U 14/U18) organized and run by All Stars Under 14/Under 18 Captain/co-captain.
